Chris bought the engagement ring during early pandemic days and kept it secret in the house for 6 months waiting for the right moment. We finally had time to take a trip together and drove the car up the coast to Big Sur. We ended up at this secluded, beautiful beach along with a sneaky photographer Chris had hired; they exchanged secret signals (peace signs) and after some difficulty and slight panic on Chris's part in getting me to face away from him, it was the perfect sunset proposal.
