We met in college in a classmate's dorm room and didn't think much of it. After striking up a conversation we discovered we were going to be studying abroad together in Heidelberg, Germany. There is a joke among Pepperdine students that Heidelberg results in the most marriages, we used to laugh about that, but well here we are :)

Ben was very excited to spend a day in Malibu one weekend in April. He wanted to hike on a trail that we often walked together while in college. As we pulled up to the guard gate at Pepperdine we were very sternly told "Sorry no entry." So Ben decided to pivot. We drove along PCH and up to the most amazing viewpoint way up on a hill. As we walked out overlooking the ocean, he got on one knee and asked. Of course, the answer was "Yes!"
