You can say it all started at the Berkshire School back in the early 2000's where they both attended high school, but the love didn't spark until February of 2019 when Austen decided to slide into Alex's DMs (yes via instagram). Soon Austen was on a plane to NYC to visit Alex, after a Game of Thrones marathon, realizing both have an extreme love of good food and tequila they were inseparable. December of 2019 Alex made the move to the mid-west which brings us to where they are today :)
One very windy day we were playing golf (a real shock, I know) at Big Foot Country Club. The weather was not in our favor during the day but Austen was determined to finish the round. With the round not going so well for myself and the 18th hole approaching Austen knew I would most likely pick up on 18, but when we teed off he said "Alex, you need to finish the hole". With my shot going way past the pin, Austen was able to sneak the ring box in the hole and when I went to finish Austen said, "So, you want to get married?" My response "Are you going to put the ring on me?". It was a perfect fit! The diamond is Austen’s grandmother, Jennifer Forbeck's, bought 50 years ago in Amsterdam, by Austen's grandfather George.
