Honey, Let's Get Married

Have you ever stumbled into a new chapter of your life and you didn't know it? I remember graduating college in December of 2019 and the world with great urgency, changed. One moment Kobe Bryant and his daughter were dying in a helicopter trip, the next I was ending a relationship and owning a new puppy. The the world shutdown and life came to a stop. Everything was different. I worked from home most days for the Humane Society and watched Sailor Moon. It's interesting to see where waiting in the between will get you. You open up a dating app on your phone out of boredom one day as authorities in charge say you should keep six feet apart in person, and really just keep contact to minimum. Swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, hold on... This guy likes hockey and music too. One fun date of milkshake and fries, and the fight for justice during a year of grief and life being shaken up was more than I expected when I swiped right on a guy named, Andrew Olson. I'm always grateful I asked what his favorite shark was because this led to 2+ years of seeing life as we knew it change before our very eyes. We had nothing but time to get to the nitty gritty of not just falling in love, but who did we want to be as people. We've experienced job uncertainty, endless memories of watching and meeting our favorite bands, new foods, road trips, weddings. You name it we somehow did it. I get to love my best friend, and the real life personification of my favorite book character, for the rest of my life. - Ally
