Alex and Allen met the old-fashioned way – they swiped right. They had their first date at Smith Tower overlooking the Seattle skyline. Allen wouldn’t let Alex sit in the famous Wishing Chair after reading its story, but Alex knew Allen was special. Allen didn’t want the date to end and insisted that they move to another bar when Smith Tower closed for the night. Alex and Allen bonded over their love for wine and arguing. Alex fell in love with Allen‘s Midwestern charm. Allen fell in love with Alex‘s dog, Bear, and figured if such a good boy could love Alex so much she must have some redeeming qualities. It took some time, but eventually Allen did see what Bear sees in Alex; namely that she provides food at least twice a day and regular walks. Bear adopted Allen soon after and that’s when Alex knew he was the one.
