Things To Do
New Paltz and the surrounding Towns have a lot of beautiful outdoor activities to enjoy. Whether you like to be active or just enjoy the area, there is plenty to do. We have included some ideas below.
New Paltz has a great town to explore. You can take a walk down Main Street and explore all the cute little shops. There are also a bunch of great places to eat and drink along the way. Be sure to check out Water Street Market, and stop in Jar'd (our favorite wine bar)
Mohonk Mountain House offers even more beautiful scenery to explore. There are tons of trails to enjoy. There is a fee for a day pass to Mohonk.
Lake Minnewaska has more outdoors to explore.
There are a lot of local trails to explore. We have miles and miles of rail trails to walk, run or even bike.
Walkway over the Hudson is another gorgeous spot. If you have never been, it's worth a trip. Beautiful views of the Hudson River and Poughkeepsie.
