The State Botanical Garden of Georgia
This is one of our favorite Saturday spots. The Georgia State Botanical Gardens are located just through Five Points (a very cute area of town in of itself). In the spring, the weather is perfect! The Botanical Gardens offer beautifully manicured gardens, a tropical atrium, and walking trails that follow the Broad River.
University of Georgia
The University of Georgia is the epicenter of Athens. North Campus is the oldest part of campus, and is a beautiful place for a morning or evening walk.
Osteria Olio
Alejandro is the General Manager of this new gorgeous restaurant near downtown Athens. It has quickly become the amongst the top places to dine in the state of Georgia. Stop by for a quick cocktail and bite before you leave, or make a reservation for dinner.
Athens Cooks
We love it here! Alejandro was one of the chef instructors here. Offering the best kitchen and home items available along with serving breakfast and lunch Athens Cooks is also a full cafe with beer, wine, and cheese. P.S. We also run the wine program! It is a must visit!
Creature Comforts Downtown Taproom and Brewery
While Athens has a burgeoning beer scene, Creature Comforts is our favorite! Chances are if you have visited us, we have taken you here. Some of the beers might look familiar, and that is because while filming Marvel's The Avengers, the crew loved the beer so much the God of Thunder, Thor is seen sipping on it throughout the movie! Be like Thor- visit Creature Comforts!
