Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Alexandra Bandy and Alberto Sotomayor
We have so many favorite spots in the city of New Orleans that we want to share with you. Below we've listed an array of places from great places to bring your kids, to our favorite hang out spots/places to be with friends. We hope you have the time to visit these spots during your stay!
Audubon Zoo

Audubon Zoo

6500 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70118

This Zoo is beautiful! We love going here for dates and spending time with friends here. It's perfect for all ages and the weather in March will be the perfect weather to visit

Mardi Gras World

Mardi Gras World

1380 Port of New Orleans Place, New Orleans, LA 70130

Most visitors go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras day will be happening the weekend before our wedding. If you happen to miss Mardi Gras, Mardi Gras World is a warehouse housing many floats and pieces from previous and recent parades. This is the closest taste you'll get of a parade float without seeing a parade. While we recommend visiting during Mardi Gras to get the full affect of parade season, Mardi Gras World is perfect for visitors wanting to taste Mardi Gras without all the crowds.

Dibbz LAN Gaming Center

Dibbz LAN Gaming Center

6850 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, LA 70003

If you're looking for a casual night of PC gaming Dibbz is the place. This spot is Alberto's long time gaming spot as well as a spot we spent a lot of time beginning of dating. Take a step into our history at dibbz.

Audubon Aquarium

Audubon Aquarium

1 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

While this is a smaller aquarium, we love to visit. This is a spot perfect for all ages. The aquarium is also located in the French Quarter so after getting to see fishes we recommend walking around and getting to enjoy the historic atmosphere for the French quarter.

Magazine Street

Magazine Street

Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA

There are several amazing restaurants and shops located on magazine street. This is our favorite spot for spending time with friends, going on dates, and shopping. There is also an escape room located on Magazine that we would recommend. Some of our recommendations to visit here are Dat Dog, Funky Monkey, Escape Room, Empanola, The Rum House, The Bulldog, and many more places to eat and shop. A perfect evening would include eating at Dat Dog and then walking down the street to the shops and seeing the houses.

City Park

City Park

New Orleans, LA

This is a personal favorite spot of mine. City park while not only is a beautiful park, but also is the location of the best cafe du monde, Art Museum, Children's Museum, Botanical gardens, and Putt Putt. If you're visiting and looking for a place of little foot traffic and lots of nature then you'll love getting to spend some time at City Park.

Hot Tin

Hot Tin

2031 Saint Charles Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70130

This bar is a rooftop bar located in a hotel. This has one of the best views of the city. Formally a penthouse apartment, the apartment was converted into a bar. The bar still has old furniture from the previous owner. This spot is great for getting a late night view of the city.
