Journey to Our Holy Matrimony

Claimed by Christ

As most of you know, we quietly eloped in Joshua Tree back in June of 2024. Alex's best friend officiated our intimate ceremony, and we celebrated this life milestone with only a handful of family members. A few weeks later, we said goodbye to our family and friends and moved to Utah! Once we settled in, we began searching for community. We are blessed to have some family here, but we were called to seek how we could serve others. Throughout our relationship, we have held clothing donation drives, made lunches for the unhoused, and have done other acts of service in the areas we've lived, so this wasn't a unique calling. This is when Alan felt called to seek the Lord. We visited a few parishes in the surrounding areas and ultimately felt at home with the community of St. Peter Catholic Church in American Fork. Over the past year, we have grown closer to God and our faith. We attend mass regularly and continue to volunteer our time and resources to the church and beyond. We enjoy helping the parish in any way possible, whether it's helping put up Christmas decorations, cleaning, leading potlucks and events, or raising funds through food sales and raffles. Everything we do is to serve the Lord and His church. Our biggest heartbreak through this experience has been not to be able to participate in the Holy Eucharist, to receive Christ. This has led us to seek a deeper relationship with Christ and start the sacramental journey of our holy matrimony- a lifelong covenant between us, symbolizing Christ's unbreakable union with the church. We cannot wait for our wedding day, to be able to fully receive Christ in our lives, and we'd love for you to join us in celebrating our holy union. God Bless, Alan & Alexandra
