I initially considered myself the more romantic one between Adam and myself, but after his proposal I think I have been sorely mistaken. Adam's ruse began with an atypical Valentine's day of sending me a big bouquet of flowers at work, and while we normally boycott the holiday I was grateful nonetheless! Adam let me know a day later that the next weekend he had a surprise that he couldn't give to me for Valentine's day weekend because everything was booked. The "Valentine's day surprise" ended up being a weekend in Savannah at a swanky hotel (our second visit together and Adam's new favorite place). When we first got to Savannah it was a little too early to check in so we decided to drive out to Wormsloe historic site to kill some time. It was both of our first visits and it was incredibly beautiful! I thought to myself, when reaching the viewing deck overlooking the marsh, that if he didn't propose then that it probably wasn't going to happen on that trip. Fast forward to having a relaxing late lunch at 'The Grey.' I am still ring-less, but very thankful we get a nice weekend to ourselves. We were almost finished with our food when Adam asked if I wanted to go down to the boiler room to check it out... to paint a picture it is a beautiful brick room in the basement of the restaurant which houses a piano, guitar, and a small table for private parties. All I remember is Adam taking a photo of me sitting at the piano and then when I got up to return the favor he was down on one knee. I honestly don't remember much of anything that was said except for one of the waiters coming down a minute later and apologizing for interrupting. When he figured out what was going on he celebrated with us and the owner brought us champagne. Everything was absolutely perfect and we could not think of a better place to host our wedding. We are so excited to celebrate with you all!
