We went here for our first date. We stop in for a visit almost every time we are in Raleigh - the entire menu is amazing!
Great spot near the Marriott City Center for breakfast! It is a classic diner. Daniel loves their omelets and 'Great Beginnings' breakfast.
One of Alexandra's favorite spots for a cocktail! Located just a few blocks from the Marriott City Center. They specialize in gin cocktails and desserts. We recommend grabbing a gin & jam with an ice cream sundae.
One of our favorite places to go when we can't agree on something to eat.
A Raleigh classic for barbecue. They offer both Western NC-style and Eastern NC-style pork barbecue. They are also known for their banana pudding. Alexandra is a proud WNC native, so obviously, the Western NC style is better!
There is a great restaurant here for a classic NC meal. We love their giant pancakes for brunch!
Alexandra's alma mater! Both Main and Centennial Campuses are open to the public and only two miles from Downtown Raleigh. It's never too early or too late to schedule a tour of the best university in the world!
A great place for indoor play and learning.
This is not your average city playground! There's a full-sized carousel, paddle boats and train that runs the perimeter of the park. These amusements range in price from $2 - $6 per person, and the playground is free. Alexandra loved bringing her nanny kids here! (and sometimes coming on her own.)
A new EPIC playground for all ages located in Dorothea Dix Park.
This is the seat of the Diocese of Raleigh and was completed in 2017. Sacred Heart Church, where our ceremony will take place, was the original Raleigh Cathedral and is still part of this parish. General visiting hours are Monday - Friday, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Sunday Mass is celebrated at 7:00 am, 10:30 am, and 12:30 pm.
