On a fateful night, Ari and Ali met at a bar in Brooklyn (shoutout to Videology and the friends that made this possible!) There is some debate over whether the two met before or after midnight on February 28, 2013, which adds a hint of intrigue to this miraculous event. Every four years the couple celebrates a "leap" anniversary!

In a town aptly called Pleasant Bay in the wilderness of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia after a day of hiking the two took refuge glamping in a geodesic dome next to the Atlantic Ocean. As night swept over the place, Ali and Ari sat on the beach deck and gazed at the sea of stars flooding the sky. Being avid stargazers, the two delighted in the plethora of constellations visible. After seeing a few too many shooting stars, Ari ran into the dome to get "something" and Ali anticipated the moment. Ari took to one knee and asked the question and Ali gleefully accepted. Due to some ring box trouble, Ari and Ali staged a reenactment inside of the dome in which the box did open.
