In the summer of 2016 Tucker and I both accepted counseling positions at SpringHill Camps in Evart, MI. Tucker was a general counselor and I was an inclusion counselor for campers with special needs. During the second week of camp one of the male inclusion counselors was scheduled for a break and I stayed with his camper, a sweet boy with cerebral palsy. When I met up with their cabin, the boys were at archery and that is where Tucker and I first introduced ourselves to each other and learned that we had quite a bit in common.
Tucker had arranged for my mom and step dad, Brian, to come and take me out to lunch and when we were about to leave, my mom handed me an envelope and said, "This is Clue #1 from Tucker." Then the scavenger hunt began. This was fun because it wasn't the first one Tucker had created for me. He also made a scavenger hunt for my birthday gifts about a month prior. The next stop was Tucker's dad's orthodontic office where I work. I pulled into the parking lot to find his dad holding my next clue. Clue #2 led me to our Church, where I was greeted by his mom and sister with Clue #3. This one took me back home where Tucker had sneakily placed Clue #4, which led me to the final spot... his family lake house in Chelsea, MI. I got there and was directed to the deck where he was waiting with one last clue. When I finished reading it, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. (I said "yes!" of course)
