It was a regular sunny Tuesday afternoon, when Alex went to Lux Central, a coffee shop in Phoenix, with her med school friend, Katie. They were enjoying caffeinated beverages and studying for their upcoming exam. A very nice gentleman came along and asked Alex if he could take the seat next to her (the place was packed!). He sat down and they started talking about various things, including NYU basketball (and their unsportsmanlike fans), soccer, and Eddie's experience living in Spain. Anyway, they hit it off right away! Eddie asked Alex if he could call her sometime, and they exchanged numbers. One week later, they went on their first date to Postino, for bruschetta and a glass of wine, and the Pig's Meow, for craft beer and old school videogames.

I have to tell this story! Eddie and I were planning a little road trip to Louisville, Kentucky. Eddie asked me to meet him downtown after work, for dinner before the start of our three day weekend. Eddie mentioned an interesting bar he had heard about called Beauty Bar that was near the restaurant. He told me I could get a martini and a manicure for $20 bucks! I was in! I met him downtown, and we went to Beauty Bar, which at the time was completely empty, except for a small group of men getting ready for "South Park" trivia night. The bar itself looks like something out of the musical "Hairspray". While I sipped on my gin martini and got my manicure, Eddie started playing our favorite songs on the jukebox. When my nails were done, he told me we should take some pics in the photo booth before leaving for dinner. (Side note: we LOVE photo booths! We rarely take actual pictures of ourselves, BUT we will gladly pay money to take them in a photo booth!) Anyway, in the midst of taking photos, he pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him! And of course...I said, Yes! We are so excited to share this next chapter in our lives with you. See you all, soon!
