How Are You Tonight?

Unknown Night Early in 2019

Phil walked into to the AC Tap unknowing that he was meeting his future wife. We were fast friends, sharing many laughs, adventures, and BBQing together often. Everything fell into place with little effort at all until all of a sudden we weren't just friends anymore. Everyone else could see it but us. I had to take him aside and ask him what "this" was. I didn't get much of an answer. Our connection had grown and we were head over heals for eachother. After we shared our first kiss, I asked him what "that" meant and he said he was going to marry me. I thought he was insane at the time, but we just knew from that instance that life as we knew it had changed. "if I kiss you, it will be the end of life as i know it"-P.S. I Love You

Let's Make It Official

September 19, 2019

We got dressed up and went to the Fireside restaurant where our friend Justin worked. We were feeling adventurous and ordered the Camel tenderloin. It was amazing! With our bellies full we waited for Phil's special time; 9:19. He asked me to officially be his girlfriend and I said yes of course!

Will You Be My Wife?

April 7, 2021

It was an ordinary day, I didn't suspect anything at all. But I should have because 47 is my special number. We lit a fire and prepped our meal to cook on the grill. We were hanging out around the fire and making out when all of a sudden lightning started flashing all over the sky. When we finished kissing, I stood up to check the grill before it started raining. Phil wrapped me up in his arms and was telling me how much he loved me and that I'm his everything (things he normally says) and then he kept saying more lovey stuff like how he wants to have children with me and couldn't imagine life without me. He then got down on his knee which caused me to drop my beer in order to put my hands over my mouth. With me looking down at him, he asked me if I would marry him. I started crying in happiness. He had to ask me, "so is that a yes?" and said "yes!" And in that proclamation the sky opened up and started downpouring while we were kissing. We ran into the house and I was so soaked I had to wipe the rain from my eyes to see the ring. It was like a movie!

Will You Marry Me Back?

September 19, 2021

For our 2nd anniversary we had several activities planned. We set up camp in the very woods we'll be married, had plans to go see the Wailers at the auditorium, a Packer game the next day, and an engagement shoot the day following the game. I of course had prepped some food for a nice anniversary dinner over the fire. While dinner cooked we exchanged our gifts. Phil gave me a prehistoric fossilized megalodon tooth and I gave him some whole geodes with a hammer and chisel. We cracked them open revealing the beauty within. I told him I had one more geode for him and pulled out his custom made ring box. I got down on my knee. I told Phil that he was my rock, that I love him with all of my heart, and I couldn't imagine my life without him. I then opened the geode revealing his ring and asked him if he would marry me back. He said yes and wears his ring when he's not working. We both have Swedish heritage and it's custom for the man to wear his ring while engaged.
