Alex and I met August of 2012 when I started working at the bookstore of Cal State San Marcos. For my first semester there, we both had the same schedule which gave us plenty of time to get to know each other. Since work was always so slow we would always be playing around and one time I even hit his eye with a rubber band, on accident! However, that did not stop him from asking me out on our first date. October 2012 we went to Angelo's Burgers in Oceanside, CA. From that day forward we knew we were meant for each other. On January 17, 2013, he wanted to officially ask me to be his girlfriend so he planned a trip to the beach to watch the sunset but due to California traffic, we didn't make it. Instead, we drove to a Ralph's around the corner from his house and asked me in the car. From that day forward we have been inseparable, having fun and making memories.
November 2nd, 2018 I got down on one knee and asked my dream girl to marry me. After 2 months of planning and help from my friends for a location, I felt that I had the perfect location and set up. I was going to take her on a random date in Encinitas, have dinner and take a walk by the beach after. A few days before, we finished the proposal sign and had everything ready, except she didn't want to go on a date because she wanted to see her dog instead. So I tried my best to convince her to come out without giving her any hints of what I was planning and luckily some plans had changed for the weekend and she decided to go out with me. She made it to our dinner date about an hour late, and I had to rush to make it to the beach on time for the sunset. We finished, quickly drive over to Moonlight beach, in Encinitas, where my friends helped set up the proposal. Once we were there, we parked and began to walk up the stairs to the viewpoint. There, my friends set up a rose petal walkway, our song playing in the background, and the perfect sunset to pop the question. As we kept walking, the sun was perfectly set and she saw our friends holding up letters spelling Marry Me. I brought her to the center, got down on one knee and she said YES, making me the happiest I have ever been.
