Travel
FLIGHTS
Fly to Italy from Newark (EWR) or your preferred airport. We recommend flying into Naples International Airport (NAP) if possible—it’s the closest and most direct option to the Amalfi Coast.
You can also fly into Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), but it adds extra travel time with train or bus transfers. If you’re traveling with luggage, arranging a private driver from Naples to Maiori is the easiest and most comfortable way to arrive.
HOTELS
We’ve included a few hotel options below to help you plan your stay on the Amalfi Coast. Availability can vary quickly, so we recommend booking early. In addition to hotels, check out Airbnb and Vrbo for great local villas and apartments—especially if you’re traveling with a group or prefer a more private setup.
Flight
Naples
Fly EWR → Naples (NAP). Private driver: fastest door-to-door to Maiori (~1 hr 15 min, €120–€190). Or take Alibus to Molo Beverello, then ferry Naples → Amalfi (~2 hrs) and short ferry Amalfi → Maiori (~15 min). Private car = easiest with luggage or late arrival; ferry = most scenic in season.
Flight
Rome
Fly EWR → Rome (FCO). Take Leonardo Express from FCO to Roma Termini (32 min, €14). Then high-speed train to Salerno (~1 h 30 min on Frecciarossa/Italo). From Salerno, take a Travelmar ferry to Maiori (~30–35 min, €8–10, seasonal). Fast, scenic, and a good option if flights to Rome are cheaper or more frequent.
