Where can we rent a boat?

If you're planning on fishing, snorkeling, or exploring nearby islands (with swimming pigs) you may want to rent a boat! We recommend splitting a boat with a few friends. If you decide to rent a boat, make sure your lodging includes dock space. Where do we buy groceries?

Answer

Groceries are very expensive on GTC, but don't worry you won't go hungry! There are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants and many fish to be caught. Sid's is the best local grocery store. If you plan ahead you could also pick up groceries at a larger and less expensive grocery store in Marsh Harbour. My family typically packs some grocery basics like PB & J, pasta, oatmeal, chips, snacks, etc. We also bring an extra suitcase with frozen meat/dairy/etc. (it's a little easier to do this if you are coming from FL). If you have a large group and plan to rent a house this is a great option!

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We recognize that this is a very big trip and you may want to make it a family vacation! We love you AND your babies however, we'd prefer that kids under 8 not attend the wedding ceremony and reception (unless otherwise specified). For this reason we are looking into sourcing a babysitter for the night of the wedding. Younger kids ARE welcomed at the happy hour and bonfire the night before. Please reach out to us individually to discuss.

What should we wear to the wedding?

Answer

This is a beach wedding, in the summer, in the Bahamas! We want you to feel cool and comfortable. Please feel free to wear shorts (men), summer dresses, and sandals. This is not an overly dressy affair. Whatever you'd typically wear out to a nice dinner while on vacation is perfect!
