Before we met, neither of us envisioned getting married. We're quite abnormal people so when we started thinking of having a normal wedding we kept hitting a wall. Alexander hates the idea of a rigid event and Landon studied Anthropology so couldn't get over the historic and socio-political traditions lol. When we started teasing apart the things we didn't want to do we were left with something very simple: We want to bring together our communities — the natural & found families — who brought us together, supported us, kept us grounded in love, and will usher us into the next phase of our relationship with the greatest party ever! The two of us will be sharing an intimate ceremony together before the big night, so by the time you see us, we’ll already be legal, official, and ready to celebrate the rest of our lives with you.

We met online in 2020 during peak Covid lockdown. Alexander was in Los Angeles, CA, and Landon in Athens, GA. Mere weeks after making the determination that he was going to move back to Atlanta after having been in LA for nearly a decade, he started searching for social connections in state to ease his transition and talking to Landon about veganism. That brief conversation lead to a tarot reading session in exchange for supporting a local queer support organization (Southern Fried Queer Pride) that lasted five hours. What followed were months of endless nights filled with storytellings, virtual dates (both FaceTime and via Animal Crossing), and cross country trips to one another. 10 months later Alexander moved back home to Georgia and we haven't been apart since. At the time of writing this, we've lived together for nearly five years. A life filled with laughs, unbelievably exhausted bits, and the world's smallest, sweetest and most vocal cat, Luther.
