Question

What time should guests arrive at Sewickley Quarter?

Answer

We ask that guests arrive promptly at 4:00PM. This will allow time for all guests to arrive and be seated for the ceremony to begin at 4:30PM.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP via our wedding website by Thursday, September 4th, 2025. The link to RSVP will be accessible on the website after we have sent out formal invitations.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Because Sewickley Quarter is nestled in the quaint town of Sewickley, PA there is no designated parking lot for the venue where the ceremony and reception will be held. Located on the 'Travel' page is more information on the shuttle that will be running to and from the hotel. However, if you choose to drive to the venue, on-street parking is ample. Parking is only enforced in this area from 9am-1pm so parking will be free closer to the start time of the wedding. For payment, use kiosks on the street or download ParkMobile app to pay at a reasonably priced $1.50 per hour.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

As of right now there is a Sabrina Carpenter concert in Downtown Pittsburgh on Friday 10/24 at 7PM. The University of Pittsburgh Football team will be playing NC State at Acrisure Stadium in North Shore Pittsburgh (close to downtown) at 1PM on Saturday 10/25. This may affect travel plans only if you choose to stay in the Downtown Pittsburgh Area. There is also a Pittsburgh Steelers home game on Sunday, 10/26 at 8:20 PM against the Green Bay Packers.

Question

Are you having a Pittsburgh Cookie Table at the Wedding?

Answer

Yes we are! To pay homage to the city Alex and I currently call home, we are planning on having a Pittsburgh Cookie Table at our wedding! You might be asking, what is a cookie table? The cookie table is a large display of homemade cookies that replaces or supplements the traditional wedding cake. This tradition, often involving cookies baked by friends and family, symbolizes community, generosity, and love, reflecting the couple's ties to their community. It’s said that this tradition originated in Southwestern Pennsylvania by East European, Italian, and Greek immigrants who wanted to bring a taste of their homeland to their new world. In addition, it’s also debated that it grew out of the Depression-era to save money on the cake. Regardless of where it really came from, it became hugely adapted later-on during the early 1990s. Therefore, for many locals, preparing the cookie table has become a very crucial part of the wedding experience, as families get together making hundreds (if not thousands) of cookies for the celebration. Family recipes are shared and each cookie is truly made with love. It gives the bakers in our life their moment to shine – making their most prized confections to share.
