Our Story
Our paths crossed many times during September 2021, leading us to meet in several ways— first at a beach bonfire, then through living in the same apartment complex at Cal Poly, and attending the same church in San Luis Obispo. Over the next year and a half, our friendship grew slowly as we spent more time together through our church’s college group, youth group, growth group, and countless lunches on the lawn at school.
In February 2023, Alex finally worked up the courage to run after Nicole as she was getting into her car and asked her on a date. One date quickly turned into many more as we shared many laughs, cooked meals at each other's houses, watched lots of beautiful SLO sunsets, and just enjoyed our quality time together!
On October 19, 2024, Alex proposed to Nicole at the top of the Pismo Preserve, a beautiful hike overlooking the ocean. Nicole said yes! We celebrated by hiking back down the mountain and enjoying a surprise dinner with both of our families!
