A must see while you're in Santorini. Famous for its iconic blue domed greek churches, Oia is a small village with breathtaking sunsets, picturesque architecture, and amazing cuisine. Oia is located on the northern point of Santorini (about a 30 minute drive from the wedding venue). It is quite expensive to stay there so we recommend you stay closer to the center of the island and a take taxi up for dinner one night. Here’s a few recommended restaurants in Oía:
We are hosting an after party boat cruise the day after the wedding (limited availability so please RSVP asap if you want to join) but if you'd like a more laid back and private experience, book your own boat cruise! You'll get the best views of the island and along the way, swim and snorkel in clear blue waters, see the caldera, and take in views of nearby small Cyclades islands. An open bar and BBQ buffet meal served right onboard keep you refreshed and energized throughout the voyage. $130 per person
This scenic hike connecting the postcard-perfect Greek villages, Fira and Oia, is one of the best ways to take in the beauty of Santorini. The island trail brings you along the caldera and Aegean sea, and through other quieter but picturesque towns of Firostefani and Imerovigli. The hike is about six miles and will take you between two to five hours depending on your speed. The trail is not marked and consists of cobbled, paved and dirt paths with slight elevation. Wear sturdy shoes, and start your expedition early so you can end at Oia in time for lunch.
See Santorini from a different perspective on this fun ATV tour. As there will be a maximum of six travelers, you’ll get personalized attention from your guide. Start at the black sand beach of Perissa and follow back roads to amazing sites like the Venetian Castle, a wine cellar, the Windmills of Emporio, and more. See the island’s highlights while enjoying an active adventure. $160 per person
