Question

Want to spend Saturday in the city? This is the best way to get there.

Answer

If you're staying at Hotel Indigo in Naperville, the Metra train station is a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. We'd recommend buying day passes between Naperville and Union Station, Chicago; you can do this through the Ventra app (easiest!) or buy tickets from the conductor on the train (costs more). If you're staying at Aloft Bolingbrook, you can either drive or Uber downtown. Best way for getting around downtown once you're there: walking and ubers!

Question

Bar Crawl Logistics: Getting Downtown and Back

Answer

A group of us will be taking the 1294 BNSF train downtown, arriving at Chicago Union Station at 7:20PM ish. From there, we are planning to walk to River North (~30 mins walk) to kick off the bar crawl at the tropical tiki bar Three Dots and a Dash! Feel free to join us or meet us at the bar. The BNSF 1294 train departs Naperville Station at 7:16PM, Clarendon Hills at 7:36PM, and Hinsdale at 7:39PM. The last BNSF train back to the suburbs departs Chicago Union Station at 12:33AM (BNSF 1295). If you plan to stay for the whole bar crawl until 1:30AM, uber is a great option as well. Any questions? Reach out to Jackson Hughes (brother of the bride, friend of the groom, and certified crawl conductor) at 630-805-3383. TRAIN TICKETS: Download the Ventra App and purchase either day passes (unlimited rides between your starting and ending station) or one-way tickets. Alternatively, you can purchase tickets from the conductor on the train, but they will cost more than the app. One phone can buy tickets for a group.
