Things To Do

A few of our favourite places to visit while you are in town. Don't worry, it's more than just a list of bars and coffee shops....
Tactile Coffee

Tactile Coffee

3109 Beverly Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90057
, (323) 539-7839

Our favourite coffee shop! Owned by our friends, Mike and Eric, this is the place where we first talked, have had countless coffee dates, and it's the place where Alex proposed! In addition to coffee/tea, they make biscuits, bread, and avo toast in house. Mindy's drink: any of the seasonal pour-overs. Alex's drink: oat cappuccino. Tell them Alex and Mindy sent you!

Venice Canals

Venice Canals

Los Angeles, CA 90292

We had one of our first dates here and got a little lost looking for a coffee shop. Needless to say, we enjoyed the extra time together walking around Venice. If you can find it, visit Menotti's - the coffee shop that we eventually found!

HiFi Kitchen

HiFi Kitchen

1667 Beverly Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90026
, (213) 258-8417

A favourite in the neighborhood! Filipino comfort food in a shop that looks straight out of the 90's.

In Sheep's Clothing

In Sheep's Clothing

710 East 4th Place, Los Angeles, CA 90013
, (213) 415-1937

Probably our favourite bar in LA. Entrance is in the back of a pizza place. All vinyl soundtrack and an extensive whiskey and sake menu. They also serve great coffee.

Gracie's Pizza

Gracie's Pizza

4330 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90029
, (323) 663-1219

Our favourite pizza in the neighbourhood!

Silverlake Ramen

Silverlake Ramen

2927 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90026
, (323) 660-8100

Our go-to place for a warm, delicious bowl of ramen. Join the guest-list using Yelp to save some time waiting in line!

Griffith Observatory

Griffith Observatory

2800 East Observatory Road, Los Angeles, CA 90027
, (213) 473-0800

Beautiful views of the city + some very cool exhibits. It's completely free and worth the trip if you have never been before.

The Last Bookstore

The Last Bookstore

453 South Spring Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013
, (213) 488-0599

We love books and bookstores! This is probably the biggest, most unique bookstore in LA. The second floor has tunnels made out of books and the used book section is arranged by colour! Definitely worth stopping by for an hour.... or four.
