Like most modern love stories Alex and Mike met on a dating app, Hinge. On April 23, 2022 they went on their first date. They shared stories and laughs over apps and cocktails and Mike took Alex to get her favorite dessert (ice cream) to end the night. Over the first few dates Alex learned that Mike was loyal, patient, kind hearted and endearingly goofy. Mike learned that Alex was honest, respectful, fun to be around and had a strong sense of self. By their 4th date they were already "joking" about marriage and by September of that year they were living together. It was clear early on they found the person they had been searching for. Mike quickly grew into his new title of cat dad and in February 2023 they added a new addition to the family their dog, Daisy May. They talked about getting engaged, and what their future wedding would look like (intimate, micro wedding, elope?...obviously those plans changed!) Mike isn't one to keep surprises so Alex was sure she would know when he was going to propose. In July of 2025 they went on their second road trip to Yellowstone. Alex went into the trip with no expectations of a proposal, little did she know Mike had other plans. On their last day in Yellowstone Alex set up the tripod to get a picture of the two of them with the beautiful scenery and she turned around to find Mike getting on one knee. It didn't even click that he was proposing until he opened the box and popped the question. It was a blur of excitement, but it was an easy yes. They enjoyed the next few days of engagement bliss before telling friends and family. Early on in planning they decided to skip the micro wedding and do a full on traditional 100 person wedding. Which brings them here now to celebrate their love with their closest friends and family and they could not be happier!
