We're Getting Married!

Mike and his college roommates were going to a friend's party one evening over winter break in Mission Hill, Boston. One of his roommates, Chris, decided to invite his sister Alex. That night, Alex and Mike caught themselves in a narrow, crowded hallway talking about life, art, friends, and shared interests. The spark continued throughout break making it difficult for Alex to return to college for her final semester. However, upon graduation and within hours of returning to Boston, Alex received a text from Mike asking if she would join him for his end-of-school-year event at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Alex, not knowing whether this was a date or not (but really hoping), accepted the invite without question. The two enjoyed a night at the museum, filled with conversation, laughter, and champagne, which Mike later admitted was, in fact, their first date.

Alex and Mike planned a couples getaway trip in Sedona, Arizona. The couple set out on a 3 mile hike in Fay Canyon to reach the famous, hidden arch on the mountainside. Alex was on the hunt for some cool views and possibly a vortex encounter, but Mike had something additional in store. Once they reached the arch, Mike distracted Alex by asking her to take some photos on their GoPro. Mike then grabbed the ring and popped the question, Alex replied “yes!” and just like that they were engaged! In honor of Fay Canyon, Alex’s engagement ring is named “Fay”.
