What Time Should I Arrive At The Ceremony?

Answer

The doors will open to take your seats at 4pm. The ceremony will start at 4:30pm. You may arrive any time from 3:30-4pm.

What is the Deal with the Reception Afterparty?

Answer

Due to the venue we have chosen for the wedding ceremony and subsequent dinner the space is rather limited. However, the couple did not want to exclude the multitude of friends who have enriched their lives from all the festivities. After the ceremony, there will be a huge after-party at their event venue where there is no cap on how many friends can attend. If you received an invite to the After party only- it means you are on the VIP list and will be able to enjoy cake, snacks and refreshments all night long.

Is There A Dress Code?

Answer

Yes! Please come dressed in Black Tie Attire. For the Ladies and Female Presenting that would be Formal (floor length) black evening gown, Dressy black cocktail dress, Your dressiest “little black dress”. For the Men and Male Presenting that would be Black tuxedo jacket and matching trousers, Formal (piqué or pleated front) white shirt, Shirt studs and cuff links, Black bow tie (silk, satin, or twill), Black cummerbund to match tie, or a vest, Black patent shoes and black dress socks. If for whatever reason you are unable to wear the above. Please wear your nicest black outfit.

Can I Bring A Date to the Ceremony?

Due to the intimate nature of this gathering, everyone in attendance will be needing an invitation. Sorry friends, no plus ones.

Can I Bring A Date to the After Party?

Answer

You may bring a date to the afterparty. Please inform the hosts if you are planning on doing this so that your guest can be on the VIP list along with you.

Are Kids Welcome?

Answer

Similar to the above, due to the small guest list- only adults who have received an invitation are permitted to this event. I would not recommend bringing a child to the afterparty since it will be at a bar.

I Have A Food Allergy, Can I Make A Special Request?

Answer

We are coordinating with our vendors to find options that will cater to a range of allergies and sensitivities. If you have a common allergy like peanuts, dairy, gluten (or something a bit more niche) feel free to let us know as you RSVP and we will be sure to designate allergy-friendly options at the Reception.

I Have An Auditory Sensitivity, Will There Be Accommodations?

Answer

The majority of the wedding events lined up will be conducted in a comfortable decibel range. Be advised that the after-party will feature a DJ and is also hosted at the couple's event venue. It will be considerably louder there. However, we will curate a lounge area with drinks for people who want to relax somewhere quieter. We cannot guarantee that there will not be any noise bleeding through, so feel free to bring a pair of earplugs if you have any additional concerns about overstimulation. You're not alone- I'll be wearing some too ( - Melanie).

Are Masks / COVID-19 Vaccination Required To Attend?

Answer

You do not need to be vaccinated in order to attend and masks will not be required for entry. If you are experiencing any upper respiratory symptoms immediately prior to the day of the event, we request that for the safety of immunocompromised guests that you test negative for COVID-19. If you test positive for COVID-19, please do not attend this event. Additionally, if you are immunocompromised or would like to attend with a mask, you are more than welcome to do so.
