Flight
There are 2 major airports in Chicago, both reasonable, but O'Hare is the closest of the 2. The bigger/busier of the 2 airports, but more convenient in regards to location.
Flight
Also a good option, it's a bit south of Chicago. The calmer of the 2 airports, usually better for domestic flights as it's less busy, but it's a bit longer of a commute than from O'Hare.
Rental Car
If you're planning to go outside of the city, you'll likely want a rental car. But not necessary if you're staying local. Uber is always around.
Train
CTA has a decent rail and bus system. The typical fare is $2.25 or you can buy a 3 day pass for $15. You can download the Ventra Card app to your phone which allows you to scan your phone upon entering the station or you can buy a physical card there. The brown line has a stop just a block from the wedding venue. The Union Pacific North Metra stops 4 blocks from the venue (this functions more as a commuter rail and typically costs a little more than the CTA). A lot of people use this to get far north from the city.
