And they lived happily ever after...

After two years of hounding by a mutual friend, Meg and Alex (old high school acquaintances) finally decided that they would go on a date..."what's the worst that could happen?" they said. So Meg gave their friend the go-ahead to give Alex her number and he promptly waited three months to text her. But after seeing her walking around town and thinking her dog was really cute, he figured he'd drop a line. Eventually reaching out, he launched his best pickup line to date, "Hey Meg, it's Alex Doto," and soon after picked her up one night in October of 2018 for their first date. They were sitting in a nearly empty restaurant where a man named Vito served them cocktails, and it was there that Meg quickly realized that Alex knew all of their hometown gossip! She was finally getting answers to some of her biggest curiosities after several years of being away. She KNEW she needed more time with this man who was a treasure-trove of knowledge. Alex was already thinking that she was different...a normal girl with just his right amount of weird! As the first few weeks went by, Meg couldn't help but wonder, "why does this guy want to hang out with me all the time!?" And Alex was asking his friends, "How long do I have to wait to hang out with her again?" Time went by and the relationship grew and Meg quickly realized that Alex was different... that this relationship was more than a flash in the pan and Alex was the most loyal and loving man she ever knew. At the same time, Alex was realizing that Meg was that genuine hometown gal that he couldn't imagine his life without. Things moved quickly from there and together they bought a forever house, Alex became a dog dad to Autumn, and in December of 2019 he popped the question in NYC and she said "yes!" (they think...neither can remember the proposal exactly!) Now here they are and here YOU are! We can't wait for the big day and to celebrate with all of our nearest and dearest... so let's get ready to party!
