Palm Springs Aerial Tram
The Tram station is about 4.6 miles from The Riviera Resort. Restaurants are located at the top of the tramway. Hiking trails are available. Temps are lower at the upper elevation so check with the hotel for information.
Marilyn Monroe Statue
Iconic giant statue of Marilyn Monroe that attracts many visitors for a photo opportunity.
Note: 100th Birthday Celebration planned May 28-30.
Joshua Tree National Park
JTNP is approximately 1 hour away. Temps will be high so make sure you have plenty of liquids and electrolytes if you tour the park and hike. Different tours, & night tours are available. (U.S. National Park Service)
Hiking Trails
There are numerous trails available in the Coachella Valley from flat ones to elevated ones. Due to our climate, hikes should be start early and complete before noon. Water and electrolytes should be carried. Locals have reported an increase in sitings of rattle snakes on the trails.
