We Eloped!

#VivaLasKoenig

To all of our friends and family we are excited to let you know that we've tied the knot. We decided to take a trip out to Las Vegas and get married on October 31st and while we wish you could have all been there in person, we are beyond delighted that we finally got to say, "I do". Thank you for your patience and understanding while we figured out how to navigate this very unique situation. Looking forward to sharing some of the beautiful photos we took in the desert. We love you all, Matthew and Alexandra Koenig

Update

First comes love, then comes global pandemic...

To all of our friends and family, we have an update. It saddens us to tell you that we are no longer planning our wedding in January. In light of COVID-19, the uncertainty of travel, and above all else our priority to keep our loved ones safe and socially distant, we've decided to nix our original plans and make some new ones. Looking forward to sharing more updates. Love you all, and thank you very much. <3 Alex & Matt

Our Story

A girl walked into a bar....

About three months after packing up her entire life and moving across the country to LA, Alex was in need of a drink. She went with some friends to her local dive bar (The Surly Goat) and started chatting up a very nice, very cute Jewish boy. About 10 minutes later, Matt walked in. It was an instant connection. They talked about their favorite movies and TV shows, video games, and childhood memories. After Alex gave Matt her phone number twice (allegedly) they parted ways. Matt and Alex texted back and forth for a bit and after getting the OK to borrow her friends dog, they set up a doggy playdate. That was the night Alex knew she was in love, with Frank. Over the course of the next few months, Matt and Alex went on some dates, met each others friends and family, and Alex even started to watch some sports. The best thing that happened was that they realized that no matter what was going on, what they really wanted to do was spend time with each other (and Frank.) Every big moment in their lives and their relationship, they went back to The Surly Goat to celebrate. It's where they met, where he asked her to be his girlfriend, where they said 'I love you' for the first time, where they were when they decided to move in together, and of course where Matt proposed. Over the years since they've met, Matt and Alex have built a beautiful life together full of laughter, love, incredible experiences, amazing family, friends, two perfect dogs, and seemingly endless happiness.
