We're getting married!

During the Cal State University Chico annual Theatre Department Christmas Party, Madison and Alex were introduced and started talking purely to get out of a conversation with someone neither of them wanted to talk to. Madison was a freshman theatre major, and Alex was a freshman on the Improv Team. After spending the entire night talking in a corner of the party they went home with their respective friends, without even exchanging numbers. Two nights later, they met again at the department Open Mic Night. From there they messaged each other on Facebook (It is a debate on who added who first) to congratulate on a job well done and the rest is history!

With a cross country move being planned and college graduations around the corner, our relationship was ready for the next step. Traveling to Cancun, Mexico for Alex's sisters 21st birthday, there was zero hint alluding to the proposal. After a few days of vacation and nerve racking anxiety (physically shown by the 72 hour hiccup case Alex endured), Alex proposed to Madison at the El Rey Mayan Ruins in a natural alcove. She said yes.
