It all started with a message from Christine Allison. Christine was a high school friend of Alex’s who he hadn’t talked to in years (so you can imagine his surprise to see her name pop on his screen). In this message, Christine told Alex that her aunt and one of Alex’s family friends wanted to set him up with her friend Lauren. They thought Alex and Lauren would be a great match and they persuaded Christine to set them up on a blind date. Alex and Lauren’s first date started at Ballard Station and lasted for three days (kidding, kind of…). Over the three days they went to lunch, went to a Mariners game, sat on a dock in Eastlake and talked for hours, met some of each other’s friends, and went to Shingletown a time or two. The next year brought so many great memories and culminated in Alex proposing to Lauren on their favorite walk in Wenatchee on May 4th.
