Given our shared love of food, it's only logical that we met in the dining hall at CSU Long Beach. A crowded room and spotting mutual friends led to sharing a table, and from the very beginning we had a feeling that we would be friends for a long time to come. It was only a few months later, though, that we finally admitted that going out to explore Long Beach and having impromptu grocery-store sushi picnics probably counted as dates anyway, so we might as well make it official.
After seven years of dating, three foreign countries visited together (not including layovers), and more than one exasperated friend's gentle nudging, Alex finally proposed to Laura at Whatcom Falls in northern Washington. Laura, presumably, said yes.
One of our very first dates down in San Diego was spent hiking around Mission Trails, one of Laura's favorite spots since childhood, and we've kept coming back together ever since. When we looked at their Visitor Center as a possible wedding venue, we instantly knew there was no other place that would fit us better. We're overjoyed to celebrate with you in a place that is so close to our hearts.
