Kristina Hemberger
Maid of Honor
Kristina is Alex's younger sister and best friend. They grew up closer than most siblings because of their shared interest in showing horses. Alex and Kristina would often have to share horses, saddles, outfits, and even a twin size bed in the horse trailer. Kristina has always been a very supportive sister. When Alex would compete at major shows, Kristina would boldly lead an obnoxious fan section with matching t-shirts. Kristina was always welcome to hang out with Alex's older friends because of how mature and fun she is. Alex & Landon's house has a spare bedroom specifically so that Landon will have a place to sleep when Kristina comes to visit.
Ben Porter
Best Man
Ben is Landon's younger brother and greatest critic. The Porter backyard often hosted intense basketball and baseball match-ups that are the stuff of legend. We'll let you guess who won more of what. Ben and Landon have always been close, though won't always admit it, and have even been said to have similar mannerisms. Whatever you do, don't mention this to Ben! Instead, if you see him at the wedding, we'd suggest striking up a riveting conversation about whatever theological matter you've been pondering lately. He'll love that!
Anne Meredith Wilferth

Alex and Anne Meredith met at CSF during their very first week of college. Alex knew that Anne Meredith was a forever friend when she agreed at the last minute to baptize Alex during finals week of freshmen year. They became best friends, then roommates, then roommates again, then co-leaders of a small group at CSF! They have made so many memories together during their time at UK and RARELY missed a football game! Anne Meredith is truly the definition of a soul sister!
Brian Rutherford
Groomsman
Brian and Landon met in the summer of 2015 at the Governor's Scholars Program. Since then, they've stayed in touch with their GSP friends through an intense fantasy football league. Brian and Landon attended several UK football and basketball games together during their time as students, including a trip to Indianapolis for the NCAA tournament their freshman year. They can be found taking in an NFL Sunday on the Redzone, texting sports takes back and forth, or sharing a laugh over something Stugotz said on the Dan Le Batard show. Brian is the type of friend you can always count on to show up and be there for you when you need him!
Taylor Mahaney

If you have a good time at the wedding, you’ll have Taylor to thank! After all, she is the one who introduced Landon and Alex. Taylor met Landon through camp, and Alex through CSF. Taylor is always down for a spontaneous adventure! She has recently become a dog person after living with Alex’s dog, Paisley, for the past year! Taylor is one of the most reliable people you will ever meet and is truly a lifelong friend.
Andrew Chapman
Groomsman
Andrew and Landon met during the summer of 2018 on staff at Aldersgate Camp! They quickly bonded over a shared love of camp and the musical talents of Chance the Rapper. Andrew and Landon can be found taking a good hike, listening to some sweet tunes, and overusing the word "bro." Andrew is a kind hearted and intentional friend who will always lend a listening ear!
Bethany Vest

Bethany and Alex became friends through CSF during their freshmen year of college. They have always been amazed by how much they have in common. Their conversations are the kind that last 3 hours, but it feels like only 20 minutes have passed! Bethany and Alex even shared a room for a bit during their senior year of college!
Dylan Roberts

Dylan and Landon became friends during the summer of 2017 on staff at Aldersgate Camp! Their friendship budded after being roommates for a week in room 6 of the camp lodge. Dylan and Landon can be found hanging with camp friends, talking about awkward moments, or witnessing a beaver escape the hood of Dylan's car during a Valvoline Oil Change. Dylan has had the privilege of calling both Landon and Alex co-workers, as he's worked at the UK Visitor Center with Alex since sophomore year. Dylan has a warm and welcoming spirit that any camper, prospective UK student, or friend would love!
Melissa Hemberger

Alex and Melissa became friends about 5 years ago when Melissa married Tommy, Alex’s oldest brother. Tommy and Melissa recently welcomed their first child, Francis, making Alex an aunt! They are the cutest little family.
Tommy Hemberger

Tommy is Alex’s oldest brother. Tommy is the definition of a cool older brother. He took his little sisters to a Jay-Z concert when they were 9 and 14 years old. Can a big brother get much cooler than that? Tommy has always been a great cheerleader for Alex in reminding her that she can do anything she sets her mind to. Tommy and his wife, Melissa, welcomed their first son, Francis, earlier this year which made Alex an aunt! Landon and Tommy usually bond over their love of sports and their frequent debates on whether Michael Jordan or Lebron is the GOAT.
Amber Hemberger

Amber and Alex became friends once Amber started dating Alex’s older brother, Ryan. They just got married this past August! Alex has always been amazed by Amber’s patience, particularly in how she manages Ryan’s immaturity. She is way out of his league!
Ryan Hemberger

Ryan is Alex’s older brother. If Alex ever broke the rules, it was always with Ryan’s help. He snuck Dairy Queen into the high school for her at lunch time, let her watch Spongebob when she wasn’t allowed to, and helped her resolve her first speeding ticket. Even with a sizable age difference, Ryan and Alex became great friends. They started sharing earrings in 2003 after Ryan got his ear pierced and created their own “Mid-Sibs” holiday to celebrate being middle siblings. Ryan and Landon like to bond over all things sports. Landon fits right in with the Hemberger guys.
