Walk through the lobby to admire its grand architecture, or enjoy afternoon tea or a cocktail at Zoé’s Lounge, the stylish bar inside. Things to do at or near the Château: • Grab a drink at Zoé’s Lounge (known for martinis and high tea) • Visit the historic photo gallery in the hotel (features Yousuf Karsh’s portraits) • Enjoy a scenic view of the canal from the back terrace • Walk directly from the hotel to Parliament Hill, ByWard Market, and the Rideau Locks Fun Fact: The Château Laurier was commissioned by the same man who built Canada’s railway system—he died just days before its opening in 1912.
