Alex and Katy first met in college through mutual friends. The Sunday of Labor Day weekend 2019, Katy and friends had planned to go cabrewing, but after a Saturday night out, Katy was on the fence as to whether she would go. She decided to still attend, and Alex was invited as a late addition. They started talking on the water and clicked! Alex and Katy continued to hang out in group settings on nights out and on lunch dates for two. After two months they made things official. In the six years that have followed, Alex and Katy have grown extremely close and become not only committed lovebirds but best friends. They find the most joy in traveling together. Notable escapades include Alex's first trip to Europe with stops in Amsterdam and Prague, their trip to multiple cities in Spain, and their engagement in Katy's favorite city--NYC. When home, Alex and Katy enjoy trying new food spots, watching their dog niece, Daphne, and finding joy in the little things in life together. If they were to compare themselves to a celebrity couple, they'd say Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, since Katy loves belting the lyrics from the "Wicked" soundtrack and Alex displays peak athletic prowess in his Sunday night rec league basketball games.
