The Groom

Born and raised in Nashville Tennessee. Traveled extensively as a young man; going to high school at Father Ryan (Tennessee), Kent’s Hill (Maine), and Riverside Military Academy (Georgia). I went to college at Bryant University where I joined Delta Kappa Epsilon and received a degree in Business Administration . Athletics were always a major focus of my life, playing hockey and lacrosse and involved in equestrian sports and shooting sports. I enjoy blacksmithing and gardening as intensive hobbies and am a lover of dogs and horses.

The Bride

I was raised in Spring, Texas and spent my high school years active in FFA and Sports Medicine. I received my bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Utah Valley University and am currently working on my applications for PA school. I nerd out about anything health or science related. I love hiking (or if you ask Alex- "nature walking") and being active. I live mostly off of peanut butter and chocolate.

The Proposal

•Alex- asked Katie’s dad in July, had the ring since August, proposed in November •Katie- Oblivious that anything was happening till he was on one knee •Proposal- We were in Tennessee for thanksgiving and went to spend the day at the farm in Cornersville- Alex’s happy place. It was a beautiful fall day so we rode around the property. (Alex secretly looking for the perfect proposal spot). We are one of those mushy gross couples who like to ask each other how much we love them, then say cheesy things like “I love you infinity, I love you infinity plus 1” etc. We stop and Alex asks me how much I love him. I think we are playing that game so I say “all the loves” and ask him how much he loves me. He pulls out a ring box and says “I love you so much I got you something”. (I had trained myself to not get too excited by ring boxes so I still don’t realize what’s happening). Then he gets down on one knee, I finally clue in, the happy tears come, and say yes before he finishes his sentence. Now we get to spend the rest of our lives with “all the loves”.
