Travel to Monesterio (Badajoz)

Our wedding celebration will take place in Monesterio. Monesterio is in Badajoz (Extremadura), just north of Andalusia & about 1–1.5 hours from Seville. Whether you're flying into a major Spanish city, Portugal, or somewhere else, we recommend spending the wedding night in Monesterio so you can enjoy the celebration to the fullest. Set along the historic Vía de la Plata route, Monesterio feels timeless: olive groves, big skies, & some of the best jamón ibérico in Spain. Getting to Monesterio By car: Renting a car is the easiest & most flexible option—this is a rural area & best explored by road. From Seville, the drive is about 1–1.5 hours via the A-66. By bus: Regular buses connect Monesterio with Seville and other towns in Extremadura. This is the most common public transportation option. Private driver: If you’d rather not drive, you can hire a driver (Daytrip.com). Ride-Share: BlaBlaCar is a ride-share app connecting drivers with empty seats to passengers looking for a ride.
