We met through a mutual friend at a bowling alley - he was 15 and I was 17. I was skeptical at first and thought it would be the start to a great friendship. Little did I know, he was planning something much different. He eventually charmed me and on October 12, 2011, he asked me to be his girlfriend and we have been by each other's side ever since - finishing high school, college, traveling the world, graduate school, two adorable corgis, and now our wedding season!

He pulled off the proposal of a lifetime. I had a feeling something was up the day it was happening, but was quickly convinced otherwise when his mom called us in tears, saying she had car trouble and needed to be picked up right before we were set to leave for a nice dinner. Of course, we "cancelled" our reservation and drove to a remote spot...and it quickly became apparent that I had been duped. Joshua and I walked up to a lit up gazebo, which he set up with our own personal pumpkin patch. I was in tears as he proposed and I gave the quickest yes of my life! He then surprised me further with an engagement party with all my friends, even the ones from out of town! To say it was beyond my wildest dreams is an understatement!
