UPDATE: Due to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak, we have decided to reschedule our wedding AGAIN. We hope this will be the final reschedule and you will all be able to join us this November in Madrid!

2013...Alex moved to Spain and started going to Improve Crossfit in September. We met shortly after that and were friendly at the gym. It wasn't until two years later, we started talking more, who made the first move is up for debate! Until one Friday in November, Alex was at the gym with Jose's friend, when Jose called to see if he had plans that night. His friend (who we now refer to as our "cupid") quickly responded with "I'm here with Alex, want me to see if she wants to go to dinner?" Before Jose could answer, we were out on a double date, near Alex's apartment, and we've been inseparable ever since!

November 27, 2019 was our four year anniversary. Alex had the 28th and 29th off of work for Thanksgiving so Jose asked if she wanted to go out to dinner that Thursday to celebrate, and he'd take the next day off work. Thursday came and Jose kept everything secret, only gave Alex an address to meet him at after he got off work. They met that evening and Jose got out of the car with a suitcase (much to Alex's surprise) and they started walking towards one of the hotels in the "Four Towers" of Madrid. Turns out Jose had booked a room overlooking the city. While looking at the views from above, Jose said he picked this hotel because you can see it from every point of Madrid, so it'll always be special. Then he pulled out the ring and asked the magic question! We opened a bottle of champagne and Facetimed Alex's family who were all together for Thanksgiving!
