This love story is not one of mushy romance and what one would think fairytales are made of. However, it is a story of fate and how two different individuals, from two totally different circles, came together to live out their "happily ever after". These love birds originally met at a mutual friends apartment to hang up a mirror, both in other relationships at the time. They helped their friend, went their separate ways, not knowing what the future may hold. Fast forward two years later, the happy couple re-met on a haunted hayride. Alex, scared to death, and Jordan trying to be brave, strong, and make a move. From that night on, these two explored their friendship for many years and eventually decided to "give the whole relationship thing a go". As a couple, Alex and Jordan have traveled to almost all 50 states, foreign countries, and have lived in four major cities. They have experienced some amazing highs and some lows during their time as a couple. Both Alex and Jordan can agree that the way they met and the way their relationship flourished was simply unconventional but yet it was beautiful, magical, and exactly what they wanted it to be; perfectly imperfect.

Alex & Jordan's relationship was approaching 4 years and the pressure was building for Jordan to #SchiffOrGetOffThePot. Jordan always knew he wanted to marry Alex since they started their travel adventure together. However, he wanted to find the perfect time to get down on a knee and ask the all important question, while also throwing Alex off the scent so she could be surprised. The whole process started on their 3 year dating anniversary, May 19, 2022, where Jordan texted Ravi to begin the ring making process. Alex (unknowingly) flew with the diamond in her backpack from Aruba during the Summer 2022 trip! This was for Jordan to get the ring finished in the states once they returned home. A couple of weeks later, Jordan developed a plan! He knew both of them would be going back to New Jersey for the Ravens vs Giants game. Jordan thought it was the perfect time to pull the trigger and propose to Alex. When they arrived in New Jersey the Friday before the football game, Alex went to shower and Jordan saw the perfect opportunity to officially ask Russ & Wendy permission to marry their daughter. It was then that he showed them the ring for the first time! Wendy, jaw on floor, was elated the time had finally come and gave a resounding yes. Russ, as calm as could be, welcomed Jordan into the family. The proposal day had finally arrived and Alex had no idea what was about to happen! The week prior, the happy couple discussed going to the beach for a couple of hours since it was Alex's happy place and it was going to be a beautiful day! Jordan had all of these plans but in actuality, so did Alex. Unknowingly, Alex insisted on driving to the beach when Jordan had all intentions to drive this way he could hide the ring. Once they got to the beach, Alex parked the car on 8th Avenue when the decorations were set up on 3rd Avenue. Jordan, thinking quickly on his feet, suggested they go to 3rd Avenue since it "was a memorable place for us". When arriving at 3rd Avenue, Jordan realized the ring was hanging out of his back pocket. He quickly threw on a quarter zip in 70 degree weather, but Alex thought nothing of it. Holding hands, Alex and Jordan walked onto the beach to see the beautiful decorations. Hours before, Amanda (one of the happy couples match makers) and Alexa (Alex's best friend) had set up the decorations and once Alex saw them, she was in disbelief. Jordan got down on a knee and then proceeded to put the ring (barely) on Alex's finger. Finally, he threw his hands up in celebration for a job well done!
