The drive east from McMenamins Edgefield on I-84 follows the natural beauty of the Columbia River Gorge for 80 miles. Multnomah Falls is a popular stop along the way, only 15 miles (20 minutes) from Edgefield.

Mt. Hood is a favorite place of ours. We recommend going to the historic Timberline Lodge where you can enjoy the views from the peak of Mt. Hood. Mirror Lake and Trillium Lake are nearby and offer popular hikes and scenic views.

Pictured is Haystack Rock, one of Oregon’s most iconic landmarks. It is a 235 ft. sea stack located in Cannon Beach, OR. The Oregon coast offers beautiful views and towns to visit. The water is very cold, so we don’t recommend swimming!

We recommend traveling to the Willamette Valley to tour the wineries and countryside. Oregon is well known for its Pinot Noir.

Willamette Valley

There are so many places to visit in Oregon! If you are looking for a longer trip, we recommend visiting  Crater Lake National Park in southern OR, as well as the city of Bend, OR.
