What airport is the best to fly into?

Answer

Traverse City (TVC) airport is going to be the best option. If you would like to have an alternative Grand Rapids (GRR) airport is another option but would require a rental car. To make your travel experience as efficient as possible with Beaver Island flight and ferry times, plan on flying in Thursday/Friday early in the morning into Traverse City and flying out Sunday/Monday later in the evening out of Traverse City.

After I land in Traverse City, MI what happens next?

We will be providing a complimentary shuttle service from Traverse City airport to Beaver Island Ferry Dock or Island Airways Airport in Charlevoix, Michigan to get you onto the island as smoothly as possible! What if I cannot make the Complimentary Shuttle?

Answer

We will provide the alternative taxi companies that you can contact for a private drive up to Charlevoix but this will not be complimentary so we encourage all guests to try to work with our shuttle times! *Uber & Lyft are not dependable in this area due to limited drivers so please plan on using the shuttle/taxi's companies listed! What are my transportation options when I get to the island?

Answer

Getting around the island is part of the adventure! You can rent bicycles (including e-bikes), grab a taxi, or rent a car once you arrive. If you’re thinking about bringing a car over on the ferry, be sure to check the ferry website for details. Please don’t procrastinate! Car spots on the ferries are very limited!
