Jeff found a perfect opportunity via an impromptu planned weekend in Revelstoke in November. Alex was dismayed that the dreary weather and late season had foiled her plans for adventures on the trails, but Jeff encouraged the idea to visit the small town of Nakusp on one of their days. They caught a non-stressful ferry ride and drove over, stopping at a roadside waterfall, before arriving in Nakusp. After walking along the waterfront and through what was open in town, a grand 30 minutes, Jeff and Alex had been through the town, and Jeff still had 45 min to kill before his pre-arranged photographer arrived. Luckily, a bakery cinnamon bun stop and suggestion to warm up in the car seamlessly passed the time, and we "both" decided to take Ru down for a swim. We walked down the skinny stepway to the beach and started to walk along. Alex was surprised but felt humoured that Jeff suggest they take a photo, with Alex being none the wiser when he asked her to set the camera up. Lo and behold, a fellow young woman emerged and offered to take their photo - which Alex felt was a completely normal thing to do. After questioning the woman about nearby hotspring and trail options, Alex retrieved her phone, and turned back to find Jeff on his knee
