Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney
We recommend visiting our ceremony venue before or after the wedding, as it is such a beautiful place to do a walk with views of the bridge, Opera House, and Sydney Harbour. A great place to start is a walk around The Rocks then venture to the Opera House, which will then lead you into the Botanic Gardens.
Sydney CBD
Sydney is such a walkable city and venturing around the CBD can be a day in itself. There are options for everyone depending if you want to eat, shop, go to a museum, or relax at Hyde Park. Follow the link below for more details!
Vivid Sydney
For a few weeks at the end of May, art installations and 3D light projections are set up on Sydney’s iconic buildings and urban spaces. The Vivid Sydney Light Walk is free for everyone to enjoy along with many other events and experiences.
Bondi to Coogee Walk
If there is one coastal walk you have to do whilst in Sydney, its the 6km Bondi to Coogee walk where you will get to see stunning views, beaches, parks, cliffs, bays and rock pools. You can take the hop on hop off tour bus or get to Bondi via the train + a short bus ride to the beach.
Taronga Zoo Sydney
Taronga Zoo is a 12 minute ferry ride from Circular Quay. However, if you want to make it a shorter day/trip there is also the Wild Life Zoo Sydney in Darling Harbour.
Ferry to Manly
Manly is a 30 minute ferry ride from Circular Quay, and a great coastal location to visit with beautiful beaches, a scenic walk from Manly to Spit, shopping, and lovely restaurants/bars.
Ferry to Watsons Bay
A 20 minute ferry ride from Circular Quay to amazing beaches, easy short walks to the Hornsby or Macquarie Lighthouse, and stunning views.
Grand Pacific Drive to Royal National Park
If you have time, we would highly recommend doing a 1 hour day trip from Sydney to Royal National Park for scenic views. Although it will be closer to winter, it would still be a great time to visit. We did a winter caravan trip along this route and it was perfect sunny days driving along the coast.
