Our love story began in the summer of 2023, when fate brought Alex and me together at a friend's house. We had both worked at Topgolf for a while, but somehow, our paths never crossed in the way they were meant to. We knew of each other, but it wasn’t until that one weekend that everything changed. That evening, something sparked between us, and we instantly connected, finding ourselves drawn to one another in a way neither of us had expected. After that night, we started spending more time together, and before we knew it, we were dating. Just one month later, on July 7th, Alex officially made me his girlfriend. By the time we had been together for five months, we took an unforgettable trip to California. During our time there, something clicked. As we explored the beauty of the West Coast, we realized that we weren’t just two people who had casually met at a friend’s gathering. There was a purpose to us coming together, and we knew, without a doubt, that we were meant to be. While we were in California, I shared a deeply personal moment with Alex. Years before we had met, I took a solo trip to California to heal from my past relationship and to find myself again. One evening, I found myself sitting on the sands of Santa Monica Beach, looking out at the ocean. In that moment, I wrote a letter to God, asking for a future husband who would love me, protect me, and walk with me in faith. I detailed everything I wanted in a partner, even down to the physical features—qualities I never thought I would find in someone. Fast forward to our trip to California, up until then I never once thought about that letter. Then, Alex surprised me with a beach picnic on Santa Monica Beach—the very spot I had sat years before, pouring my heart out to God. As we sat there, talking and laughing, I realized with a full heart that this was no coincidence. I was sitting with the very man I had prayed for—right there in the spot where I had once written those words. It was in that moment that I knew for certain: Alex was the one. My prayer had been answered in the most beautiful way, and our love story was everything I had dreamed of and more. There’s another part of our story that feels like destiny, a moment that Alex holds close to his heart. When he was in high school, he had a vivid dream that he remembers clearly. In this dream, he was chasing a mixed girl with curly blonde-brown hair, wearing red lipstick, a leather jacket, and combat boots. The feeling he had in the dream was something he had never experienced before—something profound and overwhelming. When he woke up, he said, almost without thinking, "That woman will be my wife." Years went by, and Alex’s dream stayed with him, lingering in the back of his mind. Then, when we met and began talking, Alex followed me on Instagram. One day, as he was scrolling through my photos, he stumbled upon one that immediately triggered the memory of his dream. It was a photo of me running in a leather jacket, red lipstick, combat boots, with my curly blonde-brown hair blowing in the wind. In that moment, everything clicked. He knew, without a doubt, that I was the woman from his dream, and that we were meant to be together. From that day on, our bond grew even stronger, and we continued to talk about our future together—always with faith, love, and a commitment to building a life centered around God. We are grateful for every step of this journey that led us here, and excited for all the blessings and adventures ahead. A month shy of one year together, on June 13, 2024, Alex asked me to spend forever with him, and of course, I said yes. After two years filled with love, laughter, and fun, this is where it led us— a beautiful engagement to now giving one another the promise of a lifetime of happiness. We can’t wait to say yes to forever on August 30th, 2025.
