What is the dress code?

Answer

Please wear cocktail attire. For men, wear a suit or dress shirt and blazer. For women, a short or long dress that is spring-time appropriate for DC (maybe think classy garden party). The dinner will be outside on the lawn so flat heels are recommended for ladies.

What about transportation?

Answer

All wedding-related activities will be at Church of the Resurrection, which is within walking distance of both hotel blocks and metro-accessible. If you take the metro, the church is off of the Eastern Market station. There is also free street parking around the church for those planning to drive.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Check your invitation. Due to the size limitations of the venue, only those listed on the invitation may bring a plus one.

Are children invited to the wedding?

Yes, we are excited for your kids to join the celebration. Children are included on your RSVP list.

What should I do while I am in town?

Answer

Luckily, Capitol Hill is one of the best neighborhoods to stay in if you are visiting the city. You are in easy walking distance to Congress, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, the National Mall, and a host of great restaurants and bars.

What should I do in between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The wedding will end around 3:00 pm and the reception will start at the church at 5:30 pm. While the bridal party is taking pictures, we are encourage you to explore the neighborhood and check out one of the numerous cafes and bars close by. Places to check out include Civic on Eighth, Barrel, The Wells, or The Betsy.
