Things To Do

Cubs Game @ Wrigley Field

Wrigley Field is one of baseball’s most iconic stadiums, and lucky for you, the Cubs are in town! On Friday, June 20, at 1:20pm CST, they take on the Seattle Mariners. Whether you're a die-hard sports fan or just here for the beer and ivy-covered walls, it’s a great way to spend an afternoon ahead of our welcome party that night. **Bar recs in Wrigleyville for before/after game: Sluggers, Murphy’s Bleachers, and The Cubby Bear

Chicago River Cruise & Architecture Tour

Set sail along the Chicago River and admire the city’s ever-changing architectural landscape from the water as you cruise through the Windy City. Listen as your guide points out key landmarks such as the Wrigley Building and the Tribune Tower, and learn about the city’s architectural evolution as you admire historic Art Deco, Neo-Classical, and Gothic buildings, as well as modern skyscrapers.

Wait, there are beaches in Chicago?!

Who needs an ocean when you’ve got a Great Lake? Pack a towel, throw on some sunscreen, and soak up those big-lake, beachy vibes right in the downtown area. A few of our faves: -Ohio Street Beach (Streeterville/River North): Tucked near Navy Pier, super chill with skyline views -Oak Street Beach (Gold Coast): A classic! Steps from downtown, perfect for a quick escape -North Avenue Beach (Old Town/Lincoln Park): Big & lively with beach volleyball courts - home to Castaways Beach Club and Shore Club Chicago

Now Walk it Out

Feel like some casual exploration? Strut through Millennium Park for your mandatory Bean selfie, meander the Chicago Riverwalk and stop at a river-side bar along the way (Tiny Tapp or City Winery), or take on the Lakefront Trail (spanning 18 miles along Lake Michigan across the whole city) -- on foot OR rent a Divvy Bike with the bike-share app!

Eat Your Way Through The Windy City!

Calories don't count on the weekend, right?? Don’t leave without trying deep-dish pizza (Lou Malnati's preferred), a Chicago-style hot dog (Superdawg or The Wiener's Circle), and a juicy Italian beef (Portillo's!). For snacks, grab a bag of Garrett’s Chicago Mix (caramel + cheese popcorn) and, if you’re feeling brave, take a shot of Malört—Chicago’s most questionable liquor. You’ll probably regret the Malört, but you won’t regret the food.🍕🌭
