You can either drive from the South Sound (likely through Tacoma), or you can take the ferry either from Edmonds to Kingston or Seattle to Bainbridge Island. If you are traveling to the wedding via ferry day of, keep in mind that it is a Saturday in July and the lines could be a multiple hour wait. Please check out the "Travel & Lodging" tab of this website for more details. If you plan to come in early, take a look at the "Things To Do" tab to see some things you can do if you end up getting through the ferry line quickly.
The garden is open to the public who pay tickets to view the garden until 3pm. We ask that you arrive around 3:30pm to allow for garden guests to clear out before wedding guests arrive.
The venue, Heronswood Garden, can accommodate up to 150 vehicles, which is more than guests we will have at the wedding, so there should be plenty of space! There will be dedicated parking attendants to help guide guests as they arrive.
The "Travel & Lodging" section of this website provides information and links to three hotels in the area: (1) The Point Casino & Hotel in Kingston (2) The Fairfield Inn & Suites in Poulsbo (3) The Poulsbo Inn & Suites Alternatively, you might prefer to book an Airbnb, VRBO, or other house rental in the Kingston or Poulsbo areas.
We unfortunately cannot accommodate plus-ones beyond those named on your wedding invitation and/or included in your total guest count when you are RSVPing online. We apologize for any inconvenience and we hope you understand.
We love your children, but due to space restrictions, and apart from a few exceptions for immediate family and some folks in our wedding party, we cannot accommodate your children on our wedding day. We appreciate your understanding and hope you're able to make a fun date night out of the evening!

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited at Heronswood Garden. Heronswood's zero tolerance policy includes anywhere on the grounds, including in your car. Doing so would lead to the wedding festivities ending early.
The wedding ceremony is completely outdoors, and the reception will be under a tent to provide some shade. While the wedding is in the middle of July, Washington weather is unpredictable. The average high in Kingston in July is mid- to high-70s, with a low chance of rain.
The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. Some potential clothing options: a suit or dress shirt with a tie, dresses, dressy separates, or pantsuits.
Our wedding palette includes cornflower blue, navy blue, and soft pastels. You're welcome to wear whichever color(s) you choose, but please not white (Haley's request lol)! The bridesmaids will be wearing floor-length, cornflower blue dresses from Kennedy Blue.

We have hired a professional photographer to capture the big moment, and we want you to be present during the ceremony, so we ask that you turn off your devices during that time. We will share those photos with you after the wedding date!
